CrowdStrike-Microsoft-Blue Screen of Death – Tech Edu Space

A major IT outage affected almost all the work computers around the globe including Asia, Australia, and the USA as the computers stopped working while showing the blue error screen, also known as the Blue Screen of Death. The cause is reported to be due to a faulty update caused by the cyber-security firm CrowdStrike. It has admitted that the tech failure was caused by an update done to the antivirus software, which in turn is designed to protect Microsoft Windows from malicious attacks. It’s the same CrowdStrike with a Super Bowl commercial displayed this year. Due to the outrage, public places such as banks, airports, stock exchanges, and hospitals all around the world rely on Microsoft Windows software for day-to-day tasks. There were long queues in the airports and delayed tests and other emergency routines in hospitals which led to confusion and resentments in the public.
